The locals in this town know how to have fun - note the sign, right in the middle of Amish country! 🤣
Look carefully in the trees! 😳
Lots of Amish presence around us

Today’s ride was incredibly beautiful under perfect conditions.. We covered 103 miles and climbed 4800 feet through Western Wisconsin farmland.
Impeccable farms, many churches and continued rolling Hills of corn, beans and other crops. I was surprised to see many examples of Amish farms and culture. The horse, drawn carriages, laundry drying on the clothesline and children in their blue uniforms going to school.
Where we are staying here in Spring Green WI is the location of Frank Lloyd Wright’s summer home. There’s much evidence of his presence in the area, including a museum and many imitations of his architecture.
Last week I recorded a podcast with the owner of my local gym, Mike Williams of No Limits Fitness. It runs about 40 minutes and we cover nutrition, preparation, the mental challenges and many aspects of the trip if you’re interested in a little bit of a deeper dive on those topics, link below.

Takes me back to my youth, growing up in Auburn, OH, with Amish close by . . . probably haven't seen one of those horse and buggy signs for 70 years! Well, maybe 65. But who is counting. Have no idea what it's like climbing 4,800 feet in 100 miles in a day's ride! Thanks for bringing us with you this way!!!

You are amazing Doug! Please watch out for speeding Amish buggies.
